Dr. Moore currently serves in Washington, DC as Senior Health Policy Adviser to the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy. To this opportunity he brings a lifetime of experience related to rural healthcare from both his family heritage and more than thirty years in community and hospital pharmacy. He still owns a community pharmacy in eastern Oklahoma and Pharmacy & Consulting Management Company which provides remote pharmacist services to small, rural hospitals in three states. But his career reaches beyond just pharmacy as he has served as the CEO of a County Healthcare Authority, consisting of one of the nation’s earliest Critical Access Hospitals, the County EMS, a physician clinic and a Home Health Agency…..an opportunity which served him well as the 2008 President of the National Rural Health Association…. and now in his day job, where he has the opportunity to work with Critical Access Hospitals and other rural providers across the nation around issues of quality improvement and patient safety.
